“American Idol” runner-up Crystal Bowersox has married

2010 American Idol runner-up Crystal Bowersox has married her longtime friend but recent boyfriend Brian Walker after just announcing their engagement last month. The ceremony in Chicago was attended by 60 family and friends, including Fellow Idol contestant Didi Benami and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Lance Barber.
Although the couple only started dating in the last few months, they were longtime friends, and the wedding was held at the club where they met during an open mic night six years ago, reports People.  The singer wore an Eco-friendly hemp and cotton gown from Vermont designer Tara Lynn, while musician Walker designed the rings which were crafted by Chicago’s Traci Coughlin and Steve Quick Jewellers.
Bowersox said: “Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now. I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family.”
Bowersox’s 1.5-year-old son Tony, from a previous relationship served as ring-bearer.
Bowersox, who split from longtime boyfriend Tony Kusian on the eve of the American Idol finale last May, is eyeing a Spring 2011 release date for her debut album on Jive Records.
