Rumor that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson admitted romance to Oprah Winfrey unlikely

There was a report yesterday, that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson had confirmed to Oprah Winfrey that they are seeing each other.  The two Twilight stars joined Dakota Fanning, and Taylor Lautner earlier this week, for a taping that will be shown on May 13.  The story goes that Oprah was told Kristen and Robert are dating backstage but not on camera.  Supposedly Oprah promised she would not press it too hard on air if they privately told her the truth.
A source told E! Online: “Both Rob and Kristen’s people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent.”
E!Online has a pretty good reputation, but you have to be suspicious of a story like this that can’t be confirmed since Rob and Kristen did not make the admission on air. Besides that, what good does it do Oprah to know, if she can’t share the news with her audience? Anyway reps for the two stars remain mum so book this as another likely false rumor, but good publicity for Oprah and the network.
Also earlier this week in Elle magazine, Kristen was quoted as saying, she intends to always keep her romantic life private. “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it’. It’s like, ‘No they won’t! They’ll ask for specifics’,” the 20-year-old actress explained.
