Leonardo DiCaprio Set to play Serial Killer in ‘Devil in the White City’

Leonardo DiCaprio There really isn’t hardly any role I couldn’t imagine Leonardo DiCaprio, excelling in, and I think he is going to nail this one.  Leo is going to play a notorious real life 19th century serial killer in “The Devil in the White City”, a big screen adaptation of Erik Larson’s 2003 nonfiction bestseller “Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America,” according to Deadline Hollywood. They report that DiCaprio will portray Herman Webster Mudgett aka H. H. Holmes, a man who confessed to murdering 27 people, and may have killed as many as 200, during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. In a story that puts many fantasy horror stories to shame, Holmes though apparently very charming, used the fair to lure young women to his elaborately constructed “Murder Castle” hotel, complete with a gas chamber, crematorium and dissecting table. Leo’s production company Appian Way, teamed up with Double Features to buy the rights to the book.
