Jennifer Aniston Not Hung-up on Waiting For Mr. Right to Start a Family

Jennifer Aniston Not Hung up on Waiting For Mr. Right to Start a FamilyWhile it seems that every tabloid is continuously finding Jennifer Aniston’s next husband, she has a more modern take on when she might start a family. Speaking at a Los Angeles press conference, about her new movie The Switch, she said that “times have changed” along with the idea of the traditional family. So if that means having a baby without the man in the picture, that’s okay. In the movie Aniston plays a woman who decides to get pregnant as a single-parent, in a non-traditional way, with a “turkey baster,” her friend jokes in the film.
“Women are realizing more and more that you don’t have to settle, they don’t have to fiddle with a man to have that child,” Aniston said. “They are realizing if it’s that time in their life and they want this part they can do it with or without that.”
She adds, “The point of the movie is what is it that defines family? It isn’t necessarily the traditional mother, father, two children and a dog named Spot. Love is love and family is what is around you and who is in your immediate sphere. That is what I love about this movie. It is saying it is not the traditional sort of stereotype of what we have been taught as a society of what family is.”
Jen did make it very clear she still wants to be a mom, though she is not looking at the insemination option for motherhood at this time.
