Earlier in the week Anne Hathaway revealed she is so keen to star in Glee she has already written a part for herself, and now Chris Colfer who plays Kurt in the hit show has given his support to her appearing.
Chris revealed his support with a post on Twitter: ‘Aunt Anne Hathaway? I’m definitely aboard that campaign train’
Could this mean that we get a new character on Glee? We will have to wait to find out; Ryan Murphy, the creator ofGlee was disappointingly quiet after Anne revealed her intentions on prime-time American telly.
Speaking on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, she said: "I would love to be on Glee. Can I make a confession? In my head I've written a part for myself in Glee! It's so arrogant and obnoxious, it's like, 'Ryan Murphy no one else wants to be on your show.' But in my head I've cast myself and I know which song I'd sing.
"I would want to play Kurt's long-lost aunt, his mother's sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality and I would sing 'No One Is Alone' from Stephen Sondheim's epic show 'Into the Woods'."
We think that sounds pretty amazing. Ryan please let this happen as a Christmas miracle or something like that. The guest spots have been a huge hit so far with the Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears episodes pulling in record viewing figures.
Come on, you know it makes sense.
